Offshore development
centre (ODC).

A dedicated, staffed, fully-managed delivery arm in our region. Yours to direct, ours to run. We handle infrastructure, hiring, security, and ops. You keep the roadmap and the IP.

For businesses in the UK, the US and the Gulf. Agree your team, delivery responsibilities, working-hour overlap and data-residency needs during discovery.

Not outsourcing. A real extension of your org.

Cloudini is based in London, United Kingdom. Our registered office is First Floor 10 Hampden Square, Southgate, London, England, N14 5JR. We serve clients across the UK and internationally.

We handle the plumbing. Hiring, HR, infrastructure, compliance, physical and digital security. You handle the product. The team reports to your leadership and builds on your roadmap.

Signs you need an ODC, not another contractor.

An ODC is overkill for a single project and right for a long-running engineering commitment. The four patterns we see when it's the right move:

  1. You're past the contractor ceiling.

You've tried contract shops and the quality floor keeps dropping. An ODC gives you a stable team with tenure, career paths, and real accountability rather than a rotating roster.

  2. Your cost structure needs fixing.

Headcount cost is strangling the roadmap. An ODC keeps the same delivery standard at a structurally lower blended rate, without outsourcing the product.

  3. You want 24-hour coverage.

Your in-house team is one timezone. Add an ODC in another and you get follow-the-sun delivery. Handoffs at end-of-day, overnight progress, warm context the next morning.

  4. You need to scale without a long hire cycle.

Ramping 20 engineers locally takes nine months. An ODC can scale a pod by five engineers a month without cannibalising your existing team's focus.

What an ODC gives you from day one.

Everything below is in the setup plan we sign on week one. If we don't hit it, it's on us, not on you.

Full operational control, from your desk.

Enterprise-grade security and compliance.

A real bench of senior, vetted engineers.

Infrastructure and HR handled end-to-end.

Scalable up or down, without redundancy cost.

Follow-the-sun delivery across timezones.

The commitments we put in writing.

An ODC is a long contract. The commitments that make it worth signing, and the ones we reopen at every quarterly review:

IP protection, unambiguous.

Every line of code, every asset, every model is yours. Contractual IP transfer with each deliverable, no exceptions, no negotiation on renewal.

Operational transparency.

Shared dashboards, open repos, attended standups. You can see what the team is doing in real time without having to ask.

Knowledge that stays.

Written architecture decisions, runbooks, onboarding docs, maintained in your systems. If we leave, you keep everything that matters.

Access to the top of the market.

We hire from a pool we built over 18 years. Our attrition is half the industry average, so the engineers in your pod tend to stay.

Loyalty and commitment, tested.

Every engineer on an ODC is a full-time employee, not a contractor. They care about the product because it's theirs too.

Mature project management.

Eighteen years of PMO practice. Planning, reporting, risk management. Your leadership sees the same metrics our leadership sees.

Quality gates, not quality hopes.

Coverage targets, static analysis, code review SLAs, release quality thresholds. All in the statement of work, all measured.

A model that fits your shape.

Fully managed, co-managed, or build-operate-transfer. We adapt the operating model to your governance, not the other way around.

Four weeks from signature to first ship.

An ODC stand-up follows a tight sequence. Four weeks for a small pod, up to eight for a large one. The beats:

  1. Scoping and operating model.

We co-design the team shape, reporting structure, governance, and security posture. You pick fully managed, co-managed, or build-operate-transfer. Outcome: a signed operating charter.

  2. Hiring and infrastructure.

We recruit against your bar. You interview and veto every role. In parallel, we stand up the physical space, network, devices, access controls, and tooling integrations with your systems.

  3. Onboarding and ramp.

The team goes through your onboarding, attends your architecture reviews, and pairs with your senior engineers for two weeks. By the end of the month, they're shipping into your main branches.

  4. Steady-state delivery.

Sprints, retros, planning. All in your rituals and your tools. A delivery lead on our side acts as a second pair of hands for your engineering manager.

  5. Quarterly review and evolution.

Every quarter we reopen the operating charter. Team shape, bottlenecks, costs, retention, roadmap fit. Nothing is frozen. The ODC evolves with the product.

Which one fits
your commitment?

Three commercial shapes, one engineering standard. Pick the model that fits the problem, or ask us and we'll suggest one.

Quick heuristic. Pick Dedicated Teams when you own the product and want a cross-functional pod running a roadmap. Pick an Offshore Development Centre when you need a long-running engineering arm in-region with governance at scale. Pick Staff Augmentation when your team is the driver and you need specific seniors plugged in for weeks, not quarters.

Questions about offshore development centres.

Can't find what you're looking for? Email hello@cloudini.co and we'll reply within one working day.

  • An offshore development centre is a dedicated, managed engineering team focused on your product and working to your standards. Cloudini coordinates engagements through our London office; team structure, working-hour overlap, security and access are agreed during discovery.

As well as being exceptional technically, they consistently invest the time to understand the product and suggest how it can be enhanced and improved.
