Dedicated
development teams.
A cross-functional unit that works only on your product. Same PM, same engineers, same standup, for as long as you need them. Onboarded in weeks, not months.
For businesses in the UK, the US and the Gulf. Agree your team, delivery responsibilities, working-hour overlap and data-residency needs during discovery.
A team, not a staffing line item.
A dedicated development team is a group of engineers who work only on your product, full time, for as long as you need them, while the supplier employs, pays and manages them. You direct the work; the supplier carries the hiring and the overheads.
Cloudini is a London-based software engineering company. We help clients build, modernise and maintain their software, with a named point of contact and delivery shaped around their needs.
You co-manage alongside a delivery lead on our side. We handle the HR, the infrastructure, and the career growth. You keep the team focused on what matters.
Hire a pod when the hiring market has failed you.
The dedicated-team model exists because four specific problems keep showing up in boardrooms. If one of these sounds like your quarter, read on.
Talent you can't hire locally.
The skill set you need (senior Kotlin, trained ML infra, payment-rails engineers) is not in your local labour market, or the salary market won't clear. Our bench already has it.
Scope that outran the roadmap.
Product demand spiked. The in-house team can't absorb another workstream without breaking the one they're on. A dedicated pod takes the new stream end-to-end.
An overloaded in-house team.
Your senior engineers are writing three pull requests a quarter and interviewing the rest of the time. Hand the next initiative to a pod so your core team can breathe.
A function you don't want to build.
QA, SRE, data platform, mobile. Whole disciplines you need running but don't want to build in-house. We run the function, report against your SLAs, and don't leave.
What a dedicated team gives you.
The dedicated-team model earns its keep in specific, measurable ways. The six we commit to in the statement of work:
Flexible composition, fast onboarding.
Accelerated time-to-market without quality trade.
Predictable, managed delivery cadence.
High retention, high team engagement.
Single point of contact across the pod.
Cross-domain tech and operational depth.
The commitments we won't trade away.
Every vendor claims talent and velocity. The six we'll put in the contract and review every quarter:
Ownership for the result.
The pod owns outcomes, not tickets. That means pushing back when the scope is wrong, and staying on through go-live and beyond.
Cross-domain expertise.
Eighteen years of shipping across fintech, healthtech, retail, and climate. The patterns transfer. The engineers know what breaks in production before it does.
Strong business orientation.
We read the room. When your priorities shift, the team shifts. We don't charge a change-order for answering the phone.
Transparent collaboration.
All standups open. All decisions in writing. Your PM sits in our retrospectives. No black box, no surprise invoices.
Long-term partnerships.
Clients stay with us for two years on average. Most renew for a second engagement. The ones who don't usually hire someone from our team outright. We optimise for the marathon, not the sprint.
Faster time-to-market.
72 hours to a staffed pod. Two weeks to first working software. You capture market share while the competition is still interviewing.
A delivery plan you can hold us to.
Every engagement follows the same five beats. We share the delivery plan before you sign. You hold us to it.
Discovery and scope shaping.
One to two weeks. We turn the product vision into a delivery plan. Team shape, milestones, risk register, success metrics. If we find the project shouldn't run, we tell you before the contract is signed.
Team assembly and onboarding.
You interview and approve every hire. We stage the onboarding so the pod is productive in week two, not week six. Tooling, repos, and access are ready on day one.
Development and testing.
Two-week sprints, Friday demos, test coverage targets in the contract. CI/CD from line one. Agile without the ceremony tax.
Continuous release.
Frequent, fault-tolerant, reversible. We set up or upgrade your release process so production deploys are a yawn, not an event.
Maintenance and evolution.
The pod stays on through support, L2/L3, performance work, and the next initiative. We carry the pager for what we built.
What it costs.
We price in the offshore band: a blended team rate in the mid-$30s to mid-$50s per hour, per person ($35–55). At a full-time 160-hour month that is roughly $5,600 to $8,800 per team member. For comparison, blended onshore UK and US rates typically run $150–210 per hour, and nearshore $55–90.
These are indicative ranges, not a quote. Seniority mix, team size and engagement length move the number; we confirm a monthly figure after a discovery call. Read the full cost guide.
| Model | Per hour | Per month (160h) |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudini (offshore) | $35–55 | $5,600–$8,800 |
| Nearshore | $55–90 | $8,800–$14,400 |
| Onshore UK / US | $150–210 | $24,000–$33,600 |
Which one fits
your commitment?
Three commercial shapes, one engineering standard. Pick the model that fits the problem, or ask us and we'll suggest one.
Quick heuristic. Pick Dedicated Teams when you own the product and want a cross-functional pod running a roadmap. Pick an Offshore Development Centre when you need a long-running engineering arm in-region with governance at scale. Pick Staff Augmentation when your team is the driver and you need specific seniors plugged in for weeks, not quarters.
Questions about dedicated teams.

A dedicated team is one specific model within outsourcing. A stable, cross-functional unit that works only on your product, co-managed by you and us. Unlike project-based or staff-aug engagements, you get the same engineers every day. Not a rotating cast. You own the roadmap. We own the team.
Any discipline the work demands. Backend, frontend, mobile, QA, SRE/DevOps, data, ML, product design, and delivery lead. You set the team shape during discovery and we staff it. You can reshape it quarterly as priorities evolve.
A pod of common shapes can be staffed in 72 hours. Highly specialised roles take up to four weeks. Because we onboard against a bench rather than running an open-market search, time-to-first-commit is typically two weeks.
You run the product backlog. A delivery lead on our side co-manages the pod. The delivery lead removes blockers, guards quality, and handles performance management. You can choose full client-led management or shared co-management.

Dedicated-team engagements run from a 3-month MVP build to multi-year product partnerships, with an average of two years. There's no lock-in beyond the quarter. You can resize or wind the team down with 60 days' notice.
For senior talent in most markets, yes. A dedicated team is materially more cost-effective than direct hiring. You pay one blended rate that includes salary, benefits, training, infrastructure, and management overhead. You can also scale up or down without redundancy cost.
The dedicated-team model suits complex enterprise builds, legacy modernisation, net-new product development, long-running platform work, and ongoing operational ownership of a technical function. If the work is short or thin, staff augmentation is usually a better fit.
AI engineers in your dedicated team.
Add AI specialists to the pod: retrieval, evaluation and LLM integration engineers working alongside your product engineers under the same delivery plan.
