The challenge.
- Teaching was split across video calls, email attachments and manual grading.
- The client wanted courses, lessons and assessments in one place learners could return to.
- Progress and results had to be tracked per learner, not guessed at.
- Content had to be easy to author and update, or the platform would go stale within a term.
Our approach.
- Built the learner experience with React for lessons, media and assessments.
- Backed it with Django and Django REST Framework to store courses, submissions and results.
- Modelled enrolment, progress and grading so each learner has a clear path.
- Gave instructors authoring and review tooling.
- Made authoring and updating content a non-technical task.

- Learners take courses, submit work and see results in one place.
- Instructors author and grade without juggling email and spreadsheets.
- Progress is tracked per learner instead of estimated.
- Content stays current because updating it is a non-technical task.
